Citi / AAdvantage Executive Card Jumps to a $695 Annual Fee
July 1, 2025

The Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite Mastercard® crossed the $695 line on August 23, 2026 — a $100 jump from the previous $595 fee. New cardmembers pay it first.
Citi didn't raise the price quietly. The refresh piles on statement credits and status perks that, on paper, more than cover the increase. Whether they cover it for you is a different question.
What You Get for the Extra $100
- Up to $100 per year in statement credits for eligible American Airlines inflight and Admirals Club purchases.
- Up to $180 in annual Lyft credits, up from $120.
- Omni Hotels & Resorts Champion status and Avis President's Club status, both complimentary.
- Up to 40,000 bonus Loyalty Points during the status qualification year — double the previous 20,000 cap.

What Disappeared
If you open an account on or after August 23, you don't get the 25% discount on eligible inflight food and beverage purchases, and you don't get the Grubhub benefit. Both are gone for new cardmembers.
Already hold the card? Read your own change-in-terms notice. Don't assume your benefit set matches the new one.
Kudos tracks the rewards and credits you actually earn across every card in your wallet, so deciding whether an annual fee still pays for itself becomes a numbers question instead of a guess.
Run the Math the Honest Way
The Loyalty Points change is worth real money if you were already chasing an AAdvantage status tier, and worth nothing if you weren't. Same logic on the credits: the $100 inflight credit requires you to buy something onboard or at a club, and the $180 in Lyft credits arrives in monthly increments, so unused months evaporate.
Add up only the credits you're confident you'll use. Subtract that from $695. Compare the remainder against what Admirals Club access and Loyalty Points are genuinely worth to you.
Fly American a few times a year? $695 is a lot to pay for a lounge you visit twice. Fly it weekly and the refresh is probably a net gain.
This is the 2026 pattern in one card: premium fees going up, benefits columns padded with narrow, use-it-or-lose-it credits. The fee is unconditional. The credits are not.
