Citi ThankYou Rewards is running a 40% transfer bonus into Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles through August 31, 2026 — one of the largest transfer bonuses currently available from any major issuer, with an important catch.
The Bonus Details
- Bonus: 40% on ThankYou Point transfers to Miles&Smiles.
- The math: transfer 1,000 ThankYou points and receive 1,400 miles — at the full rate.
- Card-tier restriction: the full 40% is only available to holders of Citi Strata Elite, Strata Premier, or Prestige. Other ThankYou cards, including Strata and Custom Cash, get a reduced bonus.
- Expires: August 31, 2026.
Why Miles&Smiles Might Still Be Useful
Miles&Smiles is a Star Alliance program, so it books award seats on United, Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa, and other Star Alliance carriers — often at rates that beat booking through the operating carrier's own program. That's part of why this bonus is drawing interest from people with zero plans to fly Turkish Airlines directly.
