The Offer Terms
As of September 19, 2026, cardholders are seeing either 5% or 10% back, with a maximum cash back of $4.50 or $9.00 depending on which version you were targeted for. It covers Kroger brand stores and Harris Teeter, and it runs through October 11, 2026. The offer is targeted, which means there is no universal enrollment link. It either appears in your account or it does not.
If the offer is available on your card, Kudos will activate it automatically, so you're ready to go at Kroger, online or in-store.

How Card Linked Offers Work
Card linked offers live inside your bank's app under a heading like Chase Offers, Wells Fargo Deals or Amex Offers. The mechanics are the same across issuers:
- Activate first. You have to click to add the offer to your card before you spend. Activating after the purchase does not work.
- Pay with that exact card. The offer is attached to one card number, not to your account generally.
- Cash back posts as a statement credit. There is nothing to redeem and no code to enter at the register.
The catch is that activation is manual and offers expire quietly. Most people lose money here not by choosing the wrong card but by forgetting to click. That's where Kudos comes in. We do it for you, so you will never miss another card-linked offer!

Stacking This With Q4 Rotating Categories
The Chase Freedom® and the Chase Freedom Flex® both run grocery stores as a 5% rotating category for Q4 2026, from October 1 through December 31, on up to $1,500 in combined spending, then 1%. Walmart and Target are excluded. Kroger is not.
Between October 1 and October 11 there is a short window where the card linked offer and the quarterly category overlap. Activate both and a Kroger run earns the 5% category rate plus the offer credit, up to the $4.50 or $9.00 offer cap.
The quarterly activation deadline is December 14, 2026, but there is no reason to wait.
The Bottom Line
This is a small offer with a hard cap, worth about nine dollars at most. It costs you thirty seconds to activate, and the October 1 to 11 overlap with the Q4 grocery category is the best grocery rate you will see this month.
