It's a no-annual-fee Mastercard with pet insurance built in for one eligible dog or cat. Here's what the Nibbles Card includes, where it falls short, and who it's best for.

Want to understand the insurance side first? Deductibles, reimbursement rates, and annual limits explained in plain terms. What is pet insurance and how does it work?
What is the Nibbles Pet Rewards Credit Card?
The Nibbles Card is a consumer credit card issued by Lead Bank on the Mastercard network. You can use it anywhere Mastercard is accepted, so everyday spending and vet bills go on one card. What makes it different from other pet cards is the insurance. Pet insurance for one eligible dog or cat comes with the Nibbles Card, so you're not just earning rewards on pet spending. You're also covered when care gets expensive.
Kudos can recommend the best card in your wallet at checkout, so you know when to use your Nibbles Card at the vet or pet store.

Not sure pet insurance is right for your household? Here are the pros, cons, and when it makes sense. Is pet insurance worth it?
What to consider before you apply
Not every pet is eligible
Dogs must be 7 weeks to 7 years old, and cats 7 weeks to 9 years old. Other eligibility requirements apply, and pre-existing conditions are generally not covered. Coverage and pricing also vary by state.*
You can see if you pre-qualify with no impact to your credit score before you apply.
No welcome offer or intro APR
The Nibbles Card doesn't have a welcome offer or a 0% intro APR period. The variable APR is Prime + 17.74%, up to 29.99%, so it's best to pay your balance in full each month
.
Coverage is for one pet
The base policy covers one eligible pet. Additional pets cost extra, though you can save on each added premium.
*Check your state for exact coverage and pricing details.
How the Nibbles Card compares
Nibbles Card vs. Best Friends® Credit Card
The Best Friends® Credit Card also has no annual fee. It earns 5% cash back on the first $5,000 of eligible purchases each year, then 1%.
[[ SINGLE_CARD * {"id": "8036", "isExpanded": "false", "bestForCategoryId": "15", "bestForText": "Pet Parents", "headerHint": "Rewards for pet purchases"} ]]
The biggest difference is insurance. The Best Friends® Credit Card doesn't include pet insurance, while the Nibbles Card comes with coverage for one eligible pet. If rewards are all you want, compare the earn rates. If you want coverage too, Nibbles offers something the Best Friends card doesn't.
Nibbles Card vs. a flat-rate cash back card
The Citi Double Cash® Card earns 2% on every purchase: 1% when you buy and 1% as you pay.
[[ SINGLE_CARD * {"id": "580", "isExpanded": "false", "bestForCategoryId": "15", "bestForText": "Streamlined Cash Back", "headerHint": "Set it and forget it"} ]]
If most of your spending isn't pet-related, a flat-rate card may earn more on everyday purchases. It doesn't include pet insurance, though.
Many pet parents keep both: a flat-rate card for everyday spending and the Nibbles Card for the vet and pet store. Kudos can recommend which card to use at checkout.
Is the Nibbles Card right for you?
The Nibbles Card is a strong fit for pet parents with a young, healthy dog or cat who want coverage and rewards in one place. You earn 3x Pet Points at the vet and pet stores, claims are filed for you when you pay with the Nibbles Card, and there's no annual fee.
It's a weaker fit if your pet is older or has ongoing health conditions, or if you mainly want the highest cash back rate on everyday spending.
