Quick Answer
Yes. T-Mobile accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover cards, and there's no fee when you pay in the T-Life app or online. Paying in a store costs a $5 payment support fee, and paying through Customer Care costs $10.
The catch is AutoPay. To get T-Mobile's AutoPay discount, you need a linked bank account, a debit card, or the T-Mobile Visa®. Other credit cards don't qualify.
The information for the T-Mobile Visa® has been collected independently by Kudos. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
Ways to Pay Your T-Mobile Bill
T-Mobile accepts these payment methods online, in T-Life, and in stores:
- Visa and Mastercard (credit and debit)
- American Express
- Discover
- Bank account or ACH (checking or savings)
- T-Mobile MONEY debit card
- PayPal
- Cash (in stores only)
You can also use your bank's bill pay service or mail a check to T-Mobile, P.O. Box 742596, Cincinnati, OH 45274-2596. T-Mobile asks you to allow at least five days for mailed payments.
Should You Pay T-Mobile With a Credit Card?
Benefits
- Rewards: Your bill payment earns your card's usual rewards rate.
- Cell phone protection: Some cards include phone protection when you pay your wireless bill with the card. See our list of cards that cover your phone bill, phone insurance, or both.
- Fraud protection: Credit cards offer protection against unauthorized charges.
Costs
- Lost AutoPay discount: Most credit cards aren't eligible for the AutoPay discount, and paying early with an ineligible method removes the discount from your next bill.
- Interest: If you carry a balance, interest can outweigh any rewards you earn.
How Does the T-Mobile AutoPay Discount Work?
T-Mobile offers a monthly per-line discount on qualifying plans when AutoPay is active for the whole billing cycle. To get it each month, you need to:
- Be on a plan that offers an AutoPay discount
- Have AutoPay active when your bill processes
- Have paid the prior month's bill by its due date
- Pay with a linked bank account (Pay by Bank), a debit card, or the T-Mobile Visa®
Other credit cards and digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay aren't eligible, and AutoPay isn't available on No Credit Check plans. T-Life shows an alert if you try to pay with an ineligible method.
How to Pay T-Mobile With a Credit Card
- Open T-Life or log in online: Digital payments have no processing fee.
- Make a one-time payment: Enter your card number, expiration date, and security code.
- Keep AutoPay on an eligible method: If you use AutoPay with a bank account or debit card, be careful with early card payments, since paying with an ineligible method before AutoPay processes removes the discount.
- Save your confirmation: Keep the confirmation in case you need to trace the payment.
If you pay late, T-Mobile charges the greater of 5% of applicable monthly charges or $10, or the maximum allowed by state law.
Does the T-Mobile Visa® Make Sense?
The T-Mobile Visa® is issued by Capital One and is the only credit card T-Mobile accepts for the AutoPay discount. It earns 2% back in T-Mobile Rewards on purchases, including your wireless bill, and 5% on qualifying phone, device, and accessory purchases at T-Mobile. Wireless service, fees, and prepaid service don't count toward the 5% rate.
T-Mobile Rewards can only be redeemed toward your T-Mobile wireless bill or for phones, devices, and accessories from T-Mobile. Rewards don't expire for the life of the account. T-Mobile for Business, government, and prepaid customers don't qualify for the card.

Impact on Your Credit Score
- Credit utilization: Your bill adds to your card balance until you pay it, which can raise your utilization ratio.
- Payment history: Paying your card on time builds positive history, and a late card payment can hurt it.
