Who Should Choose the Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Legend Mastercard®?
Choose the Executive if American Airlines is your main airline and you'd use the Admirals Club regularly. The free first checked bag for up to 8 companions and the Loyalty Point bonuses add the most value for frequent American flyers chasing status.

Tips for Application Success
- Check your credit first: Premium travel cards generally require good to excellent credit.
- Read the bonus rules: Issuers limit who can earn a welcome offer, so check the terms for your situation.
- Plan your spending: Meet any minimum spend with purchases you already planned, not extra spending.
- Use the perks you pay for: A high annual fee only makes sense if you'll use the lounge access and credits.
For Chase cards, our guide to the Chase 5/24 rule explains what many applicants watch for. For the Executive, Citi says the bonus isn't available if you received one for the same card in the past 48 months.
