Ollo Everyday Rewards Mastercard Review: 3% on Gas and Groceries, If You Get the Invite

3% on gas and groceries, no annual fee, if you get the invitation.

July 1, 2025

Ollo relaunched in July 2026 with a new slate of cards and a new issuer, and the Ollo Everyday Rewards Mastercard is the one most people will actually be offered.

The pitch is simple: 3% cash back on gas, EV charging, groceries and drugstores, with no cap, no expiration and no annual fee. For a card aimed at people building or rebuilding credit, that is a stronger earn rate than most of the competition.

One thing to know before you read further. This card is invitation-only. You need a mail offer with a reservation number and access code, and there is no public application page.

What you earn

  • 3% cash back at gas and EV charging stations, grocery stores and drugstores
  • 1% cash back on everything else
  • No cap on how much you can earn, and rewards do not expire

That 3% tier is the whole argument for this card. Most no-annual-fee cards aimed at this credit range pay a flat 1% or 1.5%, so a 3% category rate on three of the most common household spending buckets is meaningfully better than the norm.

Adding EV charging to the gas category is a nice touch, and still uncommon at this end of the market.

Kudos Tip

Add your cards to Kudos and we will tell you which one earns the most at checkout, so a 3% category card gets used for groceries and your flat-rate card handles everything else.

What it costs to hold

There is no annual fee, and no version of this card that charges one. The 3% categories cost you nothing to access.

The cost that matters is interest. The ongoing variable APR is high, which is normal for cards aimed at this credit tier, and it is the single thing most likely to wipe out what you earn. Carry a balance for a year and the interest will cost you several times more than the cash back you accumulate.

Pay the statement in full every month and the rewards are yours to keep. Do that inconsistently and there is little point holding the card for its earn rate. Check the current APR range on the card details above before you apply.

More:

The fee structure is unusually clean

Where this card is differentiated is what it does not charge:

  • No foreign transaction fee, which is rare at this tier and useful if you travel
  • No returned payment fee
  • No over-limit fee
  • No penalty APR, and no rate increase for paying late

That last one matters more than it sounds. Plenty of cards marketed to people rebuilding credit will move you to a punitive rate after a single late payment. This one does not. You will still be charged a late fee, but your APR stays where it is.

There is also an automatic review for a credit line increase in as little as six months. Automatic means it happens without you asking, not that an increase is guaranteed.

Where it falls short

You cannot just apply for it. The card is invitation-only. You need a mail offer containing a reservation number and access code, and there is no public application page. If one has not arrived, this card is not an option no matter how well it fits your spending.

No welcome bonus. No sign-up offer, no intro APR on purchases or balance transfers. What you see in the earn rates is what you get, and competitors at this tier do offer sign-up bonuses.

The APR is high. Fine if you clear the balance monthly, punishing if you do not.

Cash advances and balance transfers carry fees. Neither is what this card is for.

How it compares to other cash back cards at this tier

The no-annual-fee cash back market for less-than-prime credit is thinner than it looks. Most cards here either pay a flat rate with no bonus categories, or charge a fee to give you one. Ollo does neither.

The Upgrade Cash Rewards Visa pays a flat 1.5% on everything, with no annual fee, and you can apply for it without an invitation. The catch is how you are paid: cash back is credited when you make a payment, not banked as a balance you draw on.

The Capital One Quicksilver also pays a flat 1.5% with no annual fee, and adds a welcome bonus, which Ollo does not offer at all. The caveat is credit tier: the no-fee Quicksilver generally wants good credit, and its lower-tier sibling QuicksilverOne charges an annual fee for the same 1.5%.

The maths

With no annual fee on either side, the comparison is clean. Ollo pays 1.5 percentage points more on gas, EV charging, groceries and drugstores, and 0.5 points less on everything else.

So it comes down to where your money goes. If those categories are a meaningful share of your spending, and for most households they are, Ollo wins outright with nothing to break even against. If your spending is spread thin with no clear pattern, a flat 1.5% earns more and you never have to think about it.

The strongest setup is both: Ollo for the categories, a flat-rate card for everything else.

Who should get this card

Consider it if you:

  • Have received an invitation, because without one there is no way in
  • Are building or rebuilding credit and want real cash back while you do it
  • Spend regularly on gas, EV charging, groceries or drugstores
  • Pay your statement in full every month

Skip it if you:

  • Ever carry a balance, because the APR makes the rewards irrelevant
  • Already qualify for prime cash back cards with better rates and welcome bonuses
  • Want a sign-up bonus or a 0% intro period
  • Spend evenly across categories rather than concentrating it in gas and groceries

The bottom line

On paper this is a good card. Cash back on gas, EV charging, groceries and drugstores with no cap, no expiration, no annual fee and no penalty APR is a stronger offer than most of what gets mailed to people rebuilding credit.

The limit is access, not the card. You cannot apply. If an invitation arrives and you clear the balance every month, take it, because there is no annual fee and nothing to lose. If one does not arrive, a flat-rate card you can get today will serve you nearly as well.

Card terms and rates change. Check the current details on the card above before applying. The Ollo Everyday Rewards Mastercard is available by invitation only and requires a mail offer with a reservation number and access code. It is issued by Merrick Bank. Ollo cards were previously issued by The Bank of Missouri, and the portfolio relaunched under Merrick Bank in July 2026.
