Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge Las Vegas: What It Is and How to Get In (2026)
July 1, 2025

If you've ever sprinted through an airport wishing you could grab a quick drink and a decent bite without sacrificing your gate time, American Express just built something for you.
Meet Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge — Amex's new fast-format lounge concept, now open at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas. It's sleek, efficient, and designed specifically for travelers who don't have an hour to spare.
Here's everything you need to know — including which cards get you in.
What Is Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge?
Sidecar is a new, speakeasy-inspired lounge concept from American Express that sits alongside the existing Centurion Lounge network. Think: elevated airport bar meets desert oasis — with James Beard Award-winning food, curated wine, and zero wasted time.
Unlike a traditional lounge where you might settle in for a long layover, Sidecar is built for short windows. You're seated at the bar or a table, you order via QR code, and your food and drinks are delivered to you. Fast, polished, and out the door.
The Las Vegas location is near gate D1 in Concourse D and is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
What's Inside
Food & Drinks
The menu rotates regularly and pulls from The Culinary Collective by The Centurion Lounge — a roster of James Beard Award-winning chefs including Sarah Grueneberg, Kwame Onwuachi, Michael Solomonov, and Mashama Bailey. Expect elevated small plates like crushed cucumber salad with crispy rice pearls or mushroom and mustard greens egg bites with black garlic aioli.
Cocktails are led by bar director Harrison Ginsberg, and the wine list is curated by sommelier Helen Johannesen, founder of Helen's Wines and partner in Jon & Vinny's.
Ambience
The Las Vegas location leans into an "oasis-in-the-desert" aesthetic — desert hues, mixed natural stones, lush foliage, brass accents, antique mirrors, and warm lighting. It's a sharp contrast to the chaos of a busy terminal.
Practical Perks
- Private restrooms
- Multiple power outlets and USB ports
- Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi
How to Get In
Access to Sidecar follows the same eligibility rules as The Centurion Lounge Network, with one key catch: you must have a departing flight within 90 minutes. This isn't a layover lounge — it's built for the final stretch before boarding.
Cards That Qualify

Guest Access
Platinum and Business Platinum cardholders can bring up to two guests at $50/person ($30 for children ages 2–17). Complimentary guest access kicks in after spending $75,000 on your card in a calendar year.
Heads up: Starting July 8, 2026, all guests must be traveling on the same flight as the cardholder
Why This Matters for Your Wallet
Premium card annual fees have been climbing, and with costs at these levels, every lounge access, statement credit, and benefit needs to pull its weight.
Sidecar is Amex doubling down on that value equation. If you're holding a Platinum card, this is another data point in the "is this card worth the annual fee?" calculation.
Pro tip: Before your next trip, use Kudos to check which of your cards unlocks lounge access, dining credits, and travel perks — so you're never leaving value on the table at the airport.
The Bottom Line
Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge is a smart addition for frequent travelers who want premium airport amenities without the time commitment. If you're passing through Las Vegas with a qualifying Amex card and a flight boarding within 90 minutes, it's worth the stop.
More Sidecar locations are expected as the concept expands — Las Vegas is just the first.
