Citi AAdvantage Executive Card Adds a $200 inKind Dining Credit: How It Works and How to Track It
September 27, 2026

The Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Legend Mastercard® has a new dining benefit. As of October 25, 2026, cardholders get up to $200 a year in dining credits through inKind, an app you use to pay your check at participating restaurants, bars, and cafes.
The credit comes in two halves of up to $100 each, so you have until December 31 to use your first $100. Here's how the credit works, what it doesn't cover, and how to keep track of it so it doesn't expire unused.
What Is the New Citi AAdvantage Executive Dining Credit?
- Amount: Up to $200 per calendar year in dining credits through inKind.
- Schedule: Up to $100 from January through June and up to $100 from July through December.
- Where it works: Participating inKind restaurants, bars, and cafes in the U.S. inKind says its network includes more than 10,000 locations.
- Who can use it: The primary cardholder and authorized users can both redeem it, but the $200 is shared across the account.
- How long it lasts: Citi has said the credit is a permanent part of the card, not a limited-time promotion.
The card's annual fee of $695 hasn't changed with the new benefit.

How Does the inKind Dining Credit Work?
Unlike a statement credit, the inKind credit is applied when you pay. You see the savings on your check right away instead of waiting for a credit to post.

- Download the inKind app and create an account, or sign in if you already have one.
- Add your AAdvantage Executive card as a payment method in your inKind account. This is what unlocks the credit.
- Find a participating restaurant in the app before you go.
- Pay your check through inKind and apply the dining credit when you check out.
- Let the rest charge to your card. Anything the credit doesn't cover, including the tip, is charged to your AAdvantage Executive card on file.
Any part of the $100 you don't use on one meal stays available for your next one, until that half of the year ends on June 30 or December 31.
Since the inKind credit doesn't appear on your statement, set a habit of marking it as redeemed in Kudos right after your meal. That way your Benefits Tracker shows exactly how much of each $100 half you have left.

What Doesn't the Citi inKind Credit Cover?
A few rules to know before you sit down to eat:
- Tips, fees, and service charges: The credit can't be applied to these, so they're charged to your card.
- Non-participating restaurants: The credit only works at restaurants in the inKind network, and you have to pay through the app.
- Stacking with inKind Cash: You can't use the Citi credit and existing inKind Cash on the same transaction. Spending beyond the credit can still earn inKind rewards at participating restaurants.
- Rollover: Unused credit doesn't carry over. Whatever is left on June 30 or December 31 is gone.
Before counting the full $200 toward the card's value, check the inKind app for participating restaurants where you live and where you travel. The credit is only worth it if there are places you'd actually eat.

How Can You Track the inKind Dining Credit With Kudos?
Because the credit is applied inside the inKind app, it never shows up on your card statement as a separate credit. Your card only sees the amount left after the credit, like the tip. That means there's no statement credit for any app to detect automatically.
The Kudos Benefits Tracker in Kudos Premium handles this kind of benefit as a manual credit. After you use your inKind credit, toggle it as redeemed in Kudos, and your tracker stays accurate alongside the rest of your card's credits.
Kudos also helps you avoid losing a half to the calendar:
- See what's left: Your AAdvantage Executive card's view shows which credits you've used this period and what's still available.
- Get reminders: Kudos alerts you on your Home Feed before benefits expire, so a reminder before June 30 or December 31 can save your $100.
- Track every card in one place: If you carry more than one premium card, Kudos keeps all your credits together, so dining, travel, and lifestyle credits don't get lost across apps.
Citi AAdvantage Executive inKind Credit FAQ
When does the Citi AAdvantage Executive dining credit start?
The benefit started on October 25, 2026. Your first up to $100 is available through December 31, 2026, and the next up to $100 becomes available January 1, 2027.
Do authorized users get their own $200 credit?
No. Authorized users can redeem the credit, but the up to $200 per year is shared across the account.
Can I use the credit on the tip?
No. Tips, fees, and service charges aren't covered, so they're charged to your AAdvantage Executive card.
Does the inKind credit show up as a statement credit?
No. The credit is applied in the inKind app when you pay, so your card is only charged for the remaining amount. To track it in Kudos, mark it as redeemed after you use it.
Can I combine the Citi credit with inKind Cash?
Not on the same transaction. You'll need to choose between the Citi dining credit and any inKind Cash you already have when you pay.
